About NEST

NEST, the National Company for Educational Services and Training, was founded in 2019 as a fully owned subsidiary of NTEC to fulfill its mandate of transferring knowledge and technology to Kuwait.

Recognizing the need for dynamic education to drive national progress, NTEC launched NEST to address the knowledge gap in Kuwait’s education market.

NEST envisions building a comprehensive educational value chain — including K-12 schooling, vocational training, a university, and a leadership institute — in collaboration with prestigious global partners.

Background

NEST is a national company for educational services and training, and a subsidiary of the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC), which is fully owned by Kuwait’s Sovereign Wealth Fund — the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA).

NTEC is capitalized at 100 million Kuwaiti Dinars (approx. $330 million), while NEST was founded with an authorized capital of KD 7 million, an issued capital of KD 1 million, and a paid-up capital of KD 500,000.

NEST was established in 2019 as part of NTEC’s broader strategy to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology into Kuwait, including the development of the EdTech sector.
